  1. How did you come up with the idea for Nurse 2 Nurse Staffing?

    • As a traveler, our founder, Jeremy Jones met many people that were either in a really bad contract and rethinking travel nursing or were working as staff nurses because of a bad travel assignment. His opinion is that travel nursing is the best job in the industry, so he set out to fix the problems. He identified these problems and solved them! The main points were
      • High overhead companies don’t have much margin for nursing pay.
        • Nurse 2 Nurse is designed to always maintain a low overhead!
      • So many low-paying contracts
        • High pay rates are posted on our site and we put ALL available $$ on the table!
      • Used car salesman-like recruiters
        • Our recruiters are other nurses and likely a friend or co-worker. They want you to get a contract you are happy with as much as you do!
      • Pay negotiation
        • No need to negotiate! We automatically put everything in your contract that Jeremy wanted in his contracts as a traveler. A few of those items include:
          • High pay rates
          • Promised pay-rate for hours 36-40
          • High overtime rates
            • We are able to cover our costs of the contract with your full-time hours. You deserve the highest rate possible for your overtime!
      • Cold-calls
        • No cold-calls from Nurse 2 Nurse Staffing. Ever!
  2. Your pay rates so much higher than the other companies I have worked with. How do you do it?

    • Nurse 2 Nurse Staffing has a very low overhead business model. We developed our model in order to put more money in nurses’ pockets. Traditional staffing agencies need the dollars to pay an office full of recruiters making cold-calls, we have designed ours to boost your paycheck!
  3. Does Nurse 2 Nurse offer any type of bonuses?

    • We do offer an Extension Bonuses of $500! Extension bonuses are paid for extending a 13-week contract at the same facility for another 13 weeks.
  4. Do you provide Health insurance to travelers?

    • Yes, we do! We have a selection of insurance policies to choose from through National General. We also offer Dental and Vision insurance plans through Guardian along with several other optional insurance policies. To sweeten the insurance offerings, we also have a Teledoc service that has a $0 copay for our travelers!
  5. Will you reimburse me for the license I am applying for to get my next job?

    • Yes. Please submit the receipt and it will be reimbursed on your first paycheck.
  6. I want to increase my marketability by getting certified in my specialty. Can you reimburse me for my specialty exam (ex. CMSRN, CEN, CCRN…)?

    • Absolutely! At Nurse 2 Nurse Staffing we are huge proponents for specialty certification. We will also reimburse you for your BLS, ACLS, PALS and the like.
  7. My new assignment requires a specific color for my scrubs and I don’t have any in that color. Will you reimburse me for the cost of new uniforms?

    • We sure will! Forward the receipt to us and we’ll reimburse you up to $100 per 13- week RN Travel assignment.
  8. Do you provide travelers with housing while on assignment?

    • Yes, we do! We are aligned with a corporate housing broker that can arrange all sorts of housing for our travelers including customizable furniture, housewares, and electronics options. Their focus is healthcare travelers and they have been in this business for over 20 years. Nurse 2 Nurse Staffing will never profit on your housing, so you get the cheapest rates possible. Electing to use our housing will not affect your hourly or overtime rates, as the cost of housing is passed directly on to you, as a weekly cost, after your pay rate.
  9. Do you reimburse flights and driving mileage?

    • We do in a way. When setting our pay rates, we put all available money on the table,  so any additional costs for the assignment (other than those we’ve addressed in our FAQ) like flights or mileage will always be paid as an increase in non-taxable pay, but your net pay will remain. If, however, you need the reimbursement right away to afford a flight, let us know and we will reimburse you for your flight on your first paycheck and disburse the cost over your contract period to minimize the impact on your budget.
  10. How far in advance of my desired start date should I start looking a position?

    • We believe it is best to submit your application and resume along with your specialty, where you are looking to travel to and when you would like to start ASAP. This allows us to build your profile and call your references without a rush. After that is completed the average time from submission to interview is about 1 week. If you allow 2-3 additional weeks for standard-paced credentialing, we end up at a month from the time you choose the positions you want to be submitted to until your start date. This process can be faster when needed, this is just the optimal time frame.
  11. There are so many different terms for pay in this industry. How do I figure out how much money I will make based on your job postings?

    • Great question! We post our rates for calculation simplicity. Just multiply the posted rate by the hours you work in a week for your gross pay (up to 40). For example, If you work 48 hours in a week, the posted rate is  $48.50, and the overtime rate is  $72.75. You get:

$48.50 X 40hrs + $72.75 X 8hrs = $2522 weekly gross
